HISTORY

2008 - Harpeth Consulting was formed through personal and professional relationships developed and maintained by all the Partners throughout the 1990's and 2000's. All of the Harpeth Partners had worked together either at major consulting firms, payor organizations, or hospital systems at one point in their careers.

It became the Harpeth Consulting's founding Partners' goal and mission to be the preeminent Nashville-based healthcare consulting firm focused on meeting client's pressing needs across the country.

Harpeth Consulting aligned with Harpeth Capital and the Harpeth Advisory Board to form Harpeth Companies.  Harpeth Consulting developed a joint business relationship with a 'Big Four' audit and accountancy firm to provide assistance to their client's in need of managed care assistance.


2009 - Harpeth Consulting formed a relationship with Vanderbilt's Owen Graduate School of Management through Dean Jim Bradford, to work with and hire students from the MBA program.

Harpeth Consulting hired it's first Senior Consultant from the Owen School of Business to bolster the firm's technology driven solution capabilities in the business process re-design practice area.

Harpeth Consulting grew business by 105% over 2008 despite the economic downturn, while client size and type grew to major hospital systems, academic medical centers, ancillary services providers, and institutional pharmacies.

Harpeth Consulting signed a 3-year engagement with the Veterans Administration to develop business decision support tools through partnerships with an 8(a) Minority Owned and Service Disabled Veteran Owned companies. 


2010 - Harpeth Consulting's entered into a multi-year engagement with the nation's largest pediatric charity hospital system. 

Harpeth Consulting's total consultant count increased to 8 including additional Vanderbilt Owen MBA hires.

Harpeth Consulting grew business by 120% over 2009 and developed strategic partnerships with companies specializing in revenue cycle technology, enterprise performance management, and healthcare data analytics. 

Harpeth Consulting's clients include a major hospital system in New York and the largest hospital system in the Carolinas.
